Here is their story …. In 2004 I found myself closing my business, divorcing my husband and moving out of our family home of 22 years. Tasha was my one constant reminder of normal life while I was going through this very transitional period. She became my guardian angel, a knight in shining armor and my emotional rock. All this rolled into one 65 pound Labrador retriever.
Tasha inherently seemed to know when I felt sad or confused. She would instinctively come over and lay her head on my lap look into my eyes and silently tell me things would be all right. I never felt alone going through this difficult time. She was there!
Tasha, with her wagging tail, would always look straight into my eyes for kiss and hug! Little did she know I needed it more than her. I can still feel the cold nose pressed against my cheek and to this day, it still fills my heart with love. I honestly don’t know how I would’ve survived without her. I had Tasha for 16 1/2 years; yet I find myself even now wanting more!
