Famous Hollywood Celebrities and their Beloved Dogtales

While it’s not super common for Hollywood A-listers to directly purchase dogs during televised appearances, there have been some heartwarming instances where their on-screen encounters with pups blossomed into real-life adoptions.

From adopted rescue dogtales to pedigreed pooches, these Hollywood hounds are living the good life that most can only dream of!

Hilary Duff while filming for her former T.V. show “Lizzie McGuire,” a French Bulldog puppy named Lola stole the hearts of both Hilary and the audience. Originally brought in as a prop, the connection between Hilary and Lola was undeniable.

After filming wrapped, Hilary couldn’t imagine life without Lola and officially adopted her. Unfortunately Lola passed away back in 2013, While the cause of Lola’s passing remains unknown, the tiny Chihuahua had battled health issues previously. In 2012, Lola underwent brain surgery. Fellow Disney alum Ashley Tisdale was among those offering their sympathies, tweeting, “Thinking of you and Lola, I’m so sorry.”

Fans rallied around Duff, offering condolences and well wishes. In another tweet, Duff acknowledged their support: “Thank you all for your kind words about Lola. It truly means a lot during this difficult time. “

This loss is especially poignant considering Duff’s lifelong love for animals. A vocal advocate for animal rights even during her early days on “Lizzie McGuire,” the depth of her bond with Lola is evident.

Justin Theroux and Kuma

Their adventures extend beyond cozy mornings. Theroux has documented their outings at bars and even staged romantic “date nights” complete with candles.  But Kuma isn’t just a sidekick; she’s a social media star in her own right.

In a playful takeover of Theroux’s Instagram, Kuma announced the launch of her own page.  There, she commemorated their “Gotcha Day” anniversary with a hilarious caption thanking her “Dad” for letting her stay.  Theroux has also shared heartfelt posts expressing his gratitude for Kuma’s presence in his life, highlighting her ability to bring him joy, laughter, and a sense of calm

In between all the throwbacks, there are pics of her current doggy squad. There’s Pearl, the basset hound puppy she and John Legend got in 2021. Chrissy says she can’t wait to see this playful pup grow up.

There’s also Petey, who gives Chrissy lots of kisses, and Penny, her three-legged Frenchie who loves to nap. John Legend even makes a cameo in the doggy photo dump, cuddling with their other pup, Pebbles, who they adopted in 2022. Sounds like Chrissy might have found her new best cuddler though!
